Welcome to Summer

We have some brand new programs happening this summer! 

Here is a little information to get you started 

Read it & Eat
Bookshop 
Presents:  

A 4 week class where 

we will be utilizing a book provided by Read It & Eat 

to explore a new culinary experience.

  • Dates: 

    • From 11am - 1pm ​

    • July 17th, July 24th, July 31st & Aug 7th 2025. 

  • This class: 

    • This class is designed for Ages 7 - 12 but can be flexible based on request.

    • This is a drop off event, but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun.

  • Our overall theme is an Introduction to Cooking, How to prepare your own food with minimal baking needed and how to make them in a healthy way! Our Instructors will cover the following some of the following topics:

    • Nutritional Information 

    • Food handling, allergens, dietary restrictions

    • Specific cooking techniques 

    • Measurements and conversions

    • Knife skills (ex. chop, julienne, dice, brunoise, batonnet)

What to Bring for Class 

  • Smock / T-shirt / Apron - We will be playing with food. Incase we do not ruin our clothes, WE HAVE APRONS AVAILABLE, but you are welcome to bring one as well.  

  • Towel - To save a couple of tree's we ask that your child bring a drying cloth so they can wipe off their hands when they are preparing food. 
  • Open Attitude - We are going to be trying a lot of new things so having an open mind and understanding is key for us to have fun! 

  • Closed Toe Shoes - No matter what time of year it is, students are required to wear closed-toe shoes (crocks and keens are acceptable as long as they have their toes covered)

  • Hair must be pulled back neatly. We do not want to eat our hair

  • To Go Bag - to take any goodies home with you! 

Tuition 

  • This is a 4 week class. You will be registering for all 4 classes. 

  • Sign Up & Tuition is due by the start of the first class.

What they Will take Away

  • Our Techniques and skills will be taught during class, but to truly benefit, students should practice the skills at home to create necessary muscle memory and improve the skills. Practicing will help them create a strong foundation of habit and knowledge.

  • Each week, the students will make their own recipes from the cook books. They will try them in class, but will bringing their creations home as well.

    A perfect 4 part summer session where we will utilize books from Read It & Eat Bookshop to create culinary masterpieces! Ages 7 and Up

    • From 11am - 1pm ​

    • August 21st and August 28th 2025. 

  • This class: 

    • This class is designed for Ages 6 and up. 

    • This can be a drop off event, but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun.

  • Class Layout:

    • During our time, we will create the same things, but in two different ways. 

  • Our overall theme is an Introduction to Cooking, How to prepare your own food with minimal baking needed and how to make them in a healthy way! Our Instructors will cover the following some of the following topics:

  • Each class price is listed on the event. This option is perfect if your child wants to try the class before committing to a longer fall program.

  • Sign Up & Tuition is due by the start of the first class.

At Each Class, 

Kids will participate in a 2 hour class where they we make the same things, but in different forms.

We care about each member of our classes and staff. For each class, we have attached a Waiver & Release Form to ensure the well being of everyone.
